I'm still looking for a job & I'm running out of time. If anyone can point me in a direction (or if you're the one that does the hiring) to get an entry level* IT, networking, or tech job in Georgia or Minnesota I would really appreciate it. I have less than a month to get a job as far as I know. I have found ONE job I qualify for that isn't guaranteed & I really need more options! I'll be happy if I have to fix a school's broken Chromebooks or teach Sharon how to turn the computer on, as long as I make enough money that I can save up for an education & have a place to live alone (that might even be what I'm best at).
Boosts appreciated!
*So no degree or certifications or professional experience. Please because every single "entry level" listing I can find requires a bachelor's degree & ten years of experience. That is not entry level.
Is this a realistic career path? (Asking for advice, consider boosting)
So like, I'm currently studying journalism and political science. But I also work part time as a student supervisor (promotion) at the university tech center.
Would it be a possibly viable path to end up applying to work a full time position at the tech center though I don't have educational backing? I'm very proficient at my current duties and my manager had said she would basically rather have someone who has "6 months in an educational setting" than someone who has more time in a noneducational setting.
I would also be able to get a computing degree at this university if I had the full time position because they give free tuition to full time workers (minus fees but that's negligible).
Could I have a chance at this type of job? I feel like I already have a foot in the door considering I already work full time for this place.
