why does vanilla mastodon prevent CWs from trending anyways?
seems counter-intuitive to the design philosophy of promoting the use of CWs

i guess that since trending posts are always public, as an admin you'd want to avoid having adult content visible without an age gate…
but aren't trending posts approved manually? 
@fridgelite (i 100% agree with the sentiment but i believe that vanilla mastodon prevents CW-ed posts from trending, so technically you do lose something, just a thing that's meaningless in comparison and which all glitch-soc instances fix anyways)

+ truncated all remote posts to 500 characters
